Is your Jaw Bone Reabsorbing?

Jaw Bone Resorption East Valley Implant & Periodontal Center AZ 85204
When gum disease goes untreated for an extended period of time, it can lead to the jaw bone getting reabsorbed. This can lead to tooth loss, increased damage to your mouth, and the sunken appearance that many people who wear dentures have.

If you have gum disease, it is imperative to your overall and oral health that you get it treated as quickly as possible. Call our office today and let us help you begin gum disease treatment immediately.

Signs That Your Jaw Bone May Be Reabsorbing Already

Have you noticed that you have some loose teeth where they were not loose in the past? If so, you may be having problems with your jaw bone already.

These loose teeth, if not treated properly, are going to fall out. This is going to exacerbate the problem, causing other teeth to become loose since there is nothing next to them to hold them in tight. The more teeth you lose, the more at risk you are of total tooth loss.

If you have also noticed that your gums are receding and that more of your teeth are exposed, this can also be a sign that your jaw bone is beginning to reabsorb. More of your teeth will begin to become exposed as your jaw bone deteriorates. This is what causes the teeth to become loose in the first place.

What you need to do if you suspect your jaw bone has begun to reabsorb, is come in and see us. We need to look around your mouth, see what is going on, and then come up with a treatment plan.

The more comprehensive of a plan we can work out with you, the more health we can restore to your mouth. Call us today and let us help you before you lose even more of your jaw bone.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please call us at (480) 376-2848 today.
